Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering supervisor to lead multiple engineering disciplines and oversee mechanical engineering across product platforms.

The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance, with 8+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in engineering. The position is based in the United States, with travel as needed and a focus on delivering high-quality, on-time results.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• 8+ years related technical supervisory/team/project leadership experience.
• Significant, practical experience in the specific engineering subject matter.
• Experience with engineering development processes.
• Experience related to engineering configuration management and change management.
• Experience monitoring and enforcing engineering budgets.
• Experience related to change management within the engineering development.
• Familiarization with engineering development risk management process.
• Demonstrated passion for management of people and projects.
• Demonstrated passion for customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills; including strong interpersonal and writing skills.
• Ability to travel as necessary to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs engineering personnel to achieve project and organizational goals.
• Drives productivity and cost-efficiency for the assigned team.
• Monitors progress and evaluates results against plans.
• Allocates resources with program teams and assigns personnel to programs.
• Implements improvements to procedures and standards for quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
• Maintains project metrics and KPIs; ensures results.
• Assesses and mitigates risks to meet customer requirements and company objectives.
• Recommends tools and resources; performs cost analysis as needed.
