Urban Engineers, Inc. in the greater Philadelphia region is seeking an Engineering Graduate to join the Construction Services Team on highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects. The role focuses on construction inspection and management to develop hands-on experience.

Requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree; EIT/EI in PA is preferred. Travel reimbursement is provided, and Urban supports professional development through certification incentives and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related discipline is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / Engineering Intern (EI) Certificate in Pennsylvania is preferred.
• Previous experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting conformance with plans and specs.
• Reviewing and documenting field activities performed by the contractor daily and acting as a client representative.
• Daily communication between construction services team, contractor, and client.
• Provide direct support to the Construction Manager/Construction Engineer.
• Handle PSA reports, electronic tablets, processing payments, issuing work orders, and monitoring project schedule.
• Oversee project submissions including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.
• Participate in training and mentoring to develop project management and engineering skills.
• Work towards passing the FE/PE exams.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Construction Services Team.
