Job summary

Urban is expanding and seeks an Engineering Graduate to join the Construction Services Team for complex highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects in the Harrisburg region. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with EIT preferred and will gain hands-on experience in construction inspection and management.

The role includes on-site monitoring, daily contractor activity reviews, and coordination with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or a related discipline is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / Engineering Intern (EI) Certificate in Pennsylvania is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting conformance with plans and specs.
• Reviewing and documenting field activities performed by the contractor daily and act as a representative for the client.
• Daily communication between construction services team, contractor, and client.
• Provide direct support to the Construction Manager/Construction Engineer.
• Prepare PSA reports, process payments, issue work orders, and monitor project schedule.
• Oversee submissions (submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.).
• Participate in training and mentoring to develop project management and engineering skills.
• Work towards FE and PE exams.
