Job summary

Urban is growing and seeking an Engineering Graduate to join the Construction Services Team for highways, bridges, facilities and aviation projects in the greater Philadelphia region. Ideal for Civil Engineering or Construction Management graduates aiming to gain construction inspection and management experience.

You will monitor on-site activities, document conformance with plans, and act as client representative while supporting the Construction Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / EI Certificate in Pennsylvania preferred.
• Experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documentation of conformance with plans and specs.
• Reviewing and documenting field activities performed by the contractor daily and serving as the client representative.
• Daily communication between the construction services team, contractor, and client.
• Provide direct support to the Construction Manager/Construction Engineer.
• Prepare PSA reports, manage electronic tablets/computers, processing payments, issuing work orders, and monitoring project schedule.
• Oversee project submissions (submittals, RFIs, shop drawings).
• Participate in training and mentoring to develop project management and engineering skills.
