Job summary

Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Graduate to join the Construction Services Team for highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects in the greater Harrisburg region.

This role develops skills in construction inspection and construction management after earning a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree. You will monitor on-site performance, document conformance with plans, support the Construction Manager, and participate in training to advance toward FE/PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related discipline required.
• EIT/EI Certification in Pennsylvania preferred.
• Experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral, written, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting conformance with plans and specs.
• Reviewing and documenting field activities and acting as client representative.
• Daily communication between construction services team, contractor, and client.
• Provide direct support to the Construction Manager/Construction Engineer.
• Assist with PSA reports, tablets/computer usage, payments, work orders, and schedule monitoring.
• Oversee project submissions (submittals, RFIs, shop drawings).
• Participate in training and mentoring to develop project management and engineering skills.
• Work toward FE and PE licensure.
