Urban in Mechanicsburg, PA is hiring an Engineering Graduate to join the Construction Services Team for highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects in the greater Harrisburg region. The role targets graduates with Civil Engineering or Construction Management backgrounds seeking hands-on inspection and project management experience.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree, EIT/EI preferred, and a drive to advance toward FE/PE exams while supporting the team in daily site activities and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / EI certificate in PA preferred.
• Experience in design, inspection, or construction management is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site performance monitoring and ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Review field activities and act as a client representative.
• Daily communication between team, contractor, and client.
• Support Construction Manager/Construction Engineer.
• Prepare PSA reports, process payments, issue work orders, and track schedule.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Participate in training for project management and engineering.
• Work toward FE and PE exams.
• Perform other duties for the Construction Services Team.
