Job summary

Boston University invites applications for the role of Associate Dean for Finance and Administration in the College of Engineering. This senior position leads financial operations, budget planning, personnel administration, facilities and IT services, and related administrative functions for a college of ~150 faculty, ~100 staff, and ~3,000 students.

The role partners with the Dean and college leadership to advance initiatives, ensure operational excellence, and support the college’s research

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in business, finance, or related field required.
CPA, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Directs financial operations, budget development, forecasting, and personnel administration for the College.
Provides financial analyses, dashboards, and multi-year planning to support leadership decisions.
Leads administrative operations, including staff processes, IT, facilities, and HR coordination with central offices.
Oversees facilities planning, space allocation, and renovation planning for academic and research purposes.
Drives strategic planning, project management, and continuous process improvements across the College.
Represents the College in cross-school and central coordination on finance, HR, facilities, and IT topics.
