Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis–Lawrence–Plainfield seeks a Full-Time Engineering Faculty to teach and design curricula in electrical/industrial engineering. You will leverage technology to enhance learning, maintain records, and support ABET accreditation processes.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s in engineering, demonstrates a passion for teaching, and can collaborate with diverse students and colleagues while adapting to evening or weekend schedules.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical, industrial engineering, or related discipline within the program focus.
• Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution in technology or engineering.
• Passion for teaching engineering with strong communication.
• Ability to apply innovative teaching techniques and use distance learning tools.
• Proficiency in collaborative, student-centered teaching methods.
• Ability to work with a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student body.
• Flexibility for evening/weekend schedules.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses and design curricula that embrace diversity and inclusive teaching.
• Use technology to enhance instructional methods and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain syllabi and conduct assessments to measure student learning progress.
• Engage with students regularly to support learning and create a positive experience.
• Participate in program-level continuous improvement and ABET accreditation activities.
• Interact professionally with students and colleagues and ensure safe online learning environments.
