Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an adjunct faculty member to provide high-quality, hands-on instruction in Industrial Technology with emphasis on electrical systems. You will design curricula, assess learning outcomes, and ensure safety and quality in classrooms and labs at a South Bend campus.

The role involves collaboration with industry partners, student recruitment, retention efforts, and advising within the Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science division.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of technologies relevant to the instruction area.
• Ability to develop and deliver course outlines, syllabi and assessments.
• Commitment to diversity and FERPA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes in accordance with college policy and objectives.
• Create engaging curricula aligned with industry standards (electrical theory, PLCs, maintenance).
• Maintain student records, grades, and assessments.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and student learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to support recruiting and advising.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in classrooms and labs.
