Job summary

Target in Thornton, CO is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance strategy across building systems, drive uptime, and improve reliability in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will manage budgets, oversee capital projects, coordinate vendors, and lead Maintenance Technicians and CMMS teams, with a safety-first culture.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, strong leadership, and hands-on problem solving to keep guests served without interruption.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership across shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and stakeholder management.
• Experience with contractor/vendor management and capital projects.
• Proficient with CMMS/EAM systems; able to leverage data to improve reliability.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and results‑driven.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability programs across building systems and infrastructure.
• Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance, capital projects, and vendor coordination.
• Drive uptime, throughput, cost efficiency, and risk reduction in a 24/7 environment.
• Manage budgets (OpEx/CapEx) and lifecycle planning for site systems.
• Lead teams of Maintenance Technicians, Facility Attendants, and CMMS Technicians.
• Uphold safety standards (LOTO, Arc Flash) and regulatory compliance.
