Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance reliability, drive continuous improvement, and manage capital projects across a 24/7 distribution center. You will supervise Maintenance Technicians, coordinate budgets, and spearhead safety initiatives to protect people and product.

The role requires a 4-year engineering-related degree, strong leadership, and expertise in CMMS/EAM systems along with vendor management.

Qualifications

• Preferred 4-year degree in a relevant technical or engineering field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams across designated shifts including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical and stakeholder management skills with a safety-first mindset.
• Experience in contractor/vendor management, capital project oversight, and ensuring quality, cost and performance outcomes.
• Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems and PC applications; ability to leverage data to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused and results-driven in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to access all areas of a distribution center, including freezer environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance reliability strategies to reduce downtime.
• Direct team leadership across multiple shifts with accountability and clear expectations.
• Oversee budget planning and cost control for OpEx and CapEx.
• Manage capital projects, vendors, and emergency repairs for critical assets.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Ensure safety standards (LOTO, Arc Flash, PPE) and regulatory compliance.
