Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or STEM.
• Hands-on experience in a hands-on STEM program.
• Strong knowledge of DC circuits (voltage, current, resistance, power).
• Proficiency in programming microcontrollers such as Arduino.
• Hands-on experience with sensors, motors, actuators.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Strong problem-solving and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Lifelong learning with a growth mindset.
• Ability to teach 4 classes plus advisory or 5 courses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach project-based learning experiences incorporating electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Guide students through design, prototyping, and troubleshooting projects with DC circuits and microcontrollers.
• Mentor capstone projects, competitions, and industry-sponsored initiatives.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects bridging engineering with entrepreneurship and CS.
• Engage in professional development and share knowledge with faculty.
• Support DEI initiatives and school-wide innovation efforts.
• Develop relationships with industry partners for student engagement.
• Teach a full load: 4 classes and an advisory or 5 courses.
