Job summary

Greenhill School’s Design + Innovation program seeks a dynamic professional to join our team. The role focuses on hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering, guiding students through projects and prototyping using Arduino and related components.

The ideal candidate has education or STEM background, strong DC circuit knowledge, and mentoring skills. This is a full-time, 10-month position with some evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or STEM field.
• Hands-on STEM program experience.
• Strong DC circuit knowledge (voltage, current, resistance, power).
• Proficiency with Arduino or similar microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with sensors, motors, actuators.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Onshape/SolidWorks/Fusion 360).
• Strong problem solving and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach project-based experiences combining electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Guide students through design, prototyping, and troubleshooting DC circuits.
• Help students program microcontrollers for automation and control tasks.
• Assist with schematics design and PCB concepts where possible.
• Integrate engineering design thinking into the curriculum.
• Mentor students on capstone projects and competitions.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects with other faculties.
• Contribute to school-wide innovation initiatives.
