Job summary

Key Capture Energy in Albany (Hybrid) is seeking an Engineering Documentation Intern to support asset operations. The role focuses on organizing and improving technical documentation for operating Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets.

It provides hands-on exposure to utility-scale storage operations and engineering drawings, with collaboration across engineering, operations, and asset management teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an engineering degree with focus on electrical engineering preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about engineering drawings, drawings and studies.

Responsibilities

• Compile and assess as-built drawings, studies, and technical documentation.
• Review, catalog, and organize engineering documentation for operating BESS assets.
• Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, or missing records.
• Develop standardized asset information packages for operations, engineering, and asset management teams.
• Assist in organizing electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, protection studies, commissioning records, and operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to technical information management and knowledge sharing.
• Learn the fundamentals of battery storage technology, power system design, and asset operations.
• All other duties as required
