Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager to lead the engineering functions across properties in the United States. The role focuses on budgeting, maintenance planning, and ensuring safe, efficient building operations.

The candidate will collaborate with property and regional leadership, supervise technical teams, and drive profitability while maintaining compliance with regulations and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum high school diploma or GED with 6 years in engineering/maintenance or related area; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing technical training.
• 2-year degree in Building/Construction/Engineering or related major with 4 years in engineering/maintenance; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering operations and budgets; compare performance against budget and flag issues to leadership.
• Manage physical plant: equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems per SOPs.
• Administer service contracts to support property needs.
• Ensure fire crew understands procedures, equipment and alarms.
• Coach engineering leadership to control expenses (wages, utilities, tools, vendors, inventory).
• Develop engineering operating strategy aligned with property/brand strategy and manage budgets.
• Oversee long-term preventative maintenance and 10-year asset protection plans.
• Communicate department goals clearly to achieve results.
