Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to lead and manage the property’s engineering functions, budgets, and safety programs. The role requires overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems and collaborating with leadership to ensure adherence to budget and quality standards.

Relocation assistance is available and this exempt, salaried position reports to the engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED with 6 years in engineering/maintenance or related area; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing training.
• Or 2-year degree with 4 years in engineering/maintenance or related area; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manage Engineering Operations and Budgets.
• Coordinate with property and regional engineering leadership to monitor performance against budget.
• Maintain physical plant including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, water treatment.
• Administer service contracts to support property needs.
• Ensure fire safety procedures, equipment, and alarms are understood and followed.
• Coach and support engineering leadership to control expenses.
• Develop engineering operating strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plans.
• Review financial reports to assess budget performance.
• Communicate departmental goals clearly to the team.
