Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk is seeking an experienced Engineering leader to manage operations and budgets for the property, ensuring maintenance and compliance across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

The role is exempt and salaried, with a pay range of $140,000–$160,000 plus bonus eligibility and relocation assistance. A related educational background is required per the postings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6 years in engineering and maintenance or related area; training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
• Or a 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, with 4 years in engineering and maintenance; HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing training.
• Exempt salaried position with relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Works with leadership to determine engineering performance against budget and highlight concerns.
• Manages the physical plant including HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
• Administers service contracts to support property needs.
• Ensures compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
• Oversees long-term preventative maintenance and 10-year asset protection plans.
• Communicates departmental goals clearly to staff and prepares budget-related reports.
• supervises construction to ensure timely completion within budget.
