Job summary

Jobtailor in Metairie, LA is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to direct and oversee engineering design, construction, and commissioning projects. You will lead design teams of engineers and PMs, coordinate schedules with clients, and ensure compliance with standards while managing multiple concurrent projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related) with 5+ years of PM experience, PE license, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Alternative degree options: Engineering Technology or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
• Alternative: minimum 15 years of Project Manager experience for the Company
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project experience
• Professional Engineering License
• Ability to lead presentations for marketing and business development
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to tackle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with industry and competitors
• Ability to multitask and perform duties beyond scope when needed
• Preferred: Project Management Certification (PMI)
• Ability to travel 30% to job sites/office locations
• Ability to attend job site meetings and walk sites under construction
• Ability to work long periods at a desk on a computer
• Ability to climb stairs and stand/kneel for long periods
• Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists/hands/fingers
