Overview

The client is seeking an Engineering Director to direct, oversee, and apply functional authority across the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering design and commissioning activities. This role will lead engineering project delivery, ensure that design and commissioning efforts are completed efficiently and on time, and drive operational coordination to support successful outcomes.

• Lead engineering project delivery and ensure design and commissioning efforts are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Manage and delegate work across a team of project managers, engineers, commissioning agents, and technicians.
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and commissioning standards for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and vendors.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client and company objectives.
• Support new business development based on project success where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited program (or acceptable alternatives such as Engineering Technology or Construction Management).
• Experience as a Project Manager for at least 5 years, or 15 years of industry project management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to job sites for approximately 30% of work time.
• Physical ability to perform site visits including walking and climbing stairs.
