Job summary

Jobtailor in Mount Pleasant, SC seeks an entry-level Project Coordinator to assist the Project Manager with the project life cycle, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management. You will help with planning HVAC/plumbing installs, read construction plans, and support safety meetings to ensure on-time, under-budget delivery.

You will gain hands-on mechanical industry experience in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with field teams and contributing to project closeout and commissioning

Qualifications

• 0–2 years applicable field work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods.
• Hands-on experience in craft supervision and labor coordination.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industry competitors and ability to multitask.
• Ability to travel 0–5% to job sites/office locations.
• Ability to climb stairs and endure prolonged standing/sitting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with managing the project life cycle on assigned projects.
• Assist with obtaining project pricing, budgeting, estimating, detailing, subcontractor/vendor management, and project schedules.
• Coordinate safety meetings, incident investigations, and employee involvement.
• Assist project managers and superintendents in executing the project life cycle.
• Assist with planning and managing HVAC and plumbing installation to meet code and project requirements, on time and under budget.
• Participate in operation, corporate, and departmental meetings.
• Assist with vendor and subcontractor purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Participate in monthly reports and cost reviews, capturing deviations from plan or schedule.
• Collaborate with the project team to deliver projects on time and under budget.
• Assist with estimating change orders, project documentation, project closeout, and commissioning requirements.
• Participate in all facets of the project life cycle while developing mechanical-industry skills.
