Corning Incorporated is seeking a manufacturing engineering leader to drive product quality, safety, and cost reduction in a fast-paced plant environment. You will lead a diverse team of engineers and technicians, deploying advanced analytics and DMAIC methodologies to optimize the cabling process of OFC and support R&D alignment.

Facilitate technology deployment, manage budgets, and champion continuous improvement.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or degree in other Engineering discipline.
• 2+ years’ functional leadership and project management experience with evidence of progressive increased responsibilities in manufacturing and product innovation, with demonstrated manufacturing experience; exhibiting superior data analysis skills, and experience with Six Sigma methodology.
• 4+ years’ of documented experience in Manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, coach and develop people, and successful engagement and management of stakeholders at all relevant levels of the organization.
• 2+ years of experience leveraging data and statistical analysis tools (i.e., Power-BI)

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily supervision of the cable manufacturing operation to maximize performance and minimize costs.
• Set department objectives, prioritization and resource allocation per business priorities.
• Develop team understanding and deep process knowledge; coach and apply learnings in Manufacturing & Engineering systems.
• Engage with Development to maintain awareness of technology inventory in R&D and externally; support IP generation.
• Ensure processes are used rigorously and lead safety initiatives; encourage team participation.
• Use DMAIC, six-sigma, MEE, MIE, and KT for problem solving; manage budgets and forecasts.
• Develop short/long term equipment and process strategies; monitor performance.
• Sponsor or lead projects targeted at cost reduction, new products, safety, and increased capacity.
