Job summary

Corning is seeking a process engineering professional to reduce defects by identifying root causes and collaborating with suppliers to improve performance. You will use DMAIC, DOE, and Six Sigma to enhance processes, materials, and equipment, impacting cost, quality, uptime, yield, and safety across Corning facilities.

Position requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, materials, ceramic or mechanical engineering (MS preferred).
• Experience with manufacturing/process engineering and data-driven problem solving is expected.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of new processes or improvements to existing processes at Corning facilities worldwide.
• Lead and support solving problems and improving processes using fundamental understanding and structured methods (KT, DOE, Six Sigma).
• Champion Process Control/Process Discipline systems in manufacturing operations and analyze data with statistical tools.
