Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking a senior leader to head the engineering department. You will oversee budgeting, staff development, and the growth of the discipline while coordinating with other departments on work-sharing and project delivery.

You will also support marketing activities, client discovery, and proposal generation, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or relevant field and 10 years relevant experience, or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 12 years of practical experience preferred.
• 4 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Development, monitoring, and management of the department's operating budget.
• Management, growth, and professional development of the discipline-specific engineering department.
• Coordinate department activities, establish priorities, and assign staff to projects.
• Ensure staff development, mentoring, and training needs are met.
• Collaborate with other departments on work-sharing needs.
• Support implementation of the firm's strategic plan and project delivery processes.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities including client discovery and proposal generation.
• Maintain client contacts for satisfaction.
• Manage assigned project management activities and team supervision.
