Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of backend and full-stack developers in a fast-paced environment. You will build scalable infrastructure for large-scale data processing and set strategic roadmaps to drive delivery across cross-functional teams.

You will mentor engineers, hire top talent, and collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science, and executives to align technical direction with business goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience post-Bachelor’s, or 7+ years with a Master’s.
• Experience leading and managing a team of engineers for 1+ year.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and data processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of backend and full-stack developers in a fast-paced environment.
• Build infrastructure for data processing at scale with distributed systems.
• Set strategy, roadmap, goals, and lead execution by the team and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executives.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and provide mentorship on major decisions.
• Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members.
