Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is actively seeking a senior engineering project manager to drive planning, scheduling, and execution of product development initiatives. You will coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet milestones and budgets.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage risks, and maintain thorough design specs, test plans, and meeting minutes while communicating progress to program management and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practice.
• Technical process development and documentation experience.
• 2-4 years experience leading technical people
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team.
• Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• 2-4 years relevant leadership and/or project management experience.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team and communicating with program management and customers.
• Experience with technical process documentation
• Experience defining process workflows

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of the engineering aspects of product development projects.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Manage schedules and assist with technical matters.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide technical support to project teams and interface with external customers or field-based employees as needed.
• Prepare and distribute regular status reports on project progress, highlighting key achievements and potential issues.
• Identify and document potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and meeting minutes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless project execution.
