Job summary

Puget Sound Energy seeks a Consulting Contract Administrator to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering-related contracts, including negotiation, execution, and performance management for consulting, engineering, construction, and maintenance services. You will align contracting outcomes with business objectives, schedules, and financial targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or related fields.
• 6 years of experience managing a portfolio of complex contracts and NCMA/CPSM certification; or 8 years of relevant contract experience.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments, organizational levels, and external partners.
• Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation strategy, and structuring complex service agreements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Strong procurement knowledge and contracting policies.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development of contractor management strategies aligned with program delivery goals.
• Leads development of Statements of Work (SOWs) and contract templates and supports the full contract lifecycle, including contractor pre-qualification, solicitation, negotiation, execution, modification, and bid/RFP processes.
• Manages full lifecycle of contracts from solicitation through performance management to ensure delivery.
• Drives contract performance tracking, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
• Ensures compliance with codes, standards, and design, operation, and maintenance requirements.
• Presents to executive staff and industry.
• Supports emergency response work as requested including weather-related restoration efforts.
