Job summary

Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, seeks a seasoned contract administrator to lead consultant procurement and complex contracts from initiation to closeout.

You will collaborate with Contracts & Procurement staff, internal departments, and external stakeholders to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with laws, and optimize procurement of services, equipment, and software.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in financial analysis, project management, grant administration, inter-agency agreements, contract administration or related work.
• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, economics or other field related to this work (or equivalent background) to perform the work.

Responsibilities

• Manage consultant procurement processes for business units.
• Coordinate preparation and approval of RFP/Qs and related documents.
• Train project managers in consultant selection procedures.
• Participate in contract negotiations and ensure approvals.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Review procurement requests and determine appropriate procurement methods.
• Determine contract types, milestones, and procurement plans.
