Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Consulting Contract Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of engineering-related contracts for consulting, engineering, construction, and maintenance services. You will negotiate, execute, and administer contracts, align outcomes with business objectives, schedules, and financial targets, and drive contractor performance across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Six (6) years managing a portfolio of complex contracts and NCMA/CPSM-like certification; or eight (8) years of relevant contract experience.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and external partners.
• Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation strategy, and structuring complex service agreements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience driving process improvements, standardization, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop contractor management strategies aligned with program delivery goals.
• Mentor staff and share knowledge to strengthen contracting skills.
• Ensure contracts support operational, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Serve as primary liaison between contractor community and internal clients.
• Lead development of SOWs, contract templates, and full lifecycle processes.
