Job summary

Puget Sound Energy seeks a qualified Consulting Contract Administrator to own the full lifecycle of engineering-related contracts—from solicitation through performance management. You will lead negotiations, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive cost control and supplier performance.

The role requires expert contracting practice, cross-functional coordination, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Interview discussions will cover work arrangements and expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6 years managing a portfolio of complex contracts and NCMA/CPSM certification; or 8 years of relevant contract experience.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and external partners.
• Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation strategy, and complex service agreements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Experience driving process improvements and standardization in contracting.

Responsibilities

• Develop contractor management strategies aligned with program delivery goals.
• Mentor staff and share knowledge to strengthen contracting skills.
• Ensure contracts support operational, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Serve as liaison between the Contractor community and internal clients.
• Lead creation of SOWs, contract templates, and full contract lifecycle processes.
• Manage contractor performance, risk, and continuous improvement initiatives.
