Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks an Engineering & Construction Underwriter in Exton, PA. You will underwrite and service profitable new and renewal business, maintain broker relationships, and contribute to strategic marketing activities.

You will work with the NA Facultative leadership team to drive profitability, share market insights, and participate in risk assessment, pricing, and audits. A detail-oriented, analytical mindset is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry with emphasis on Engineering/Construction property insurance/reinsurance.
• Understand policy rating and be proficient in policy rating systems.
• Familiarity with policy and contract wording.
• Math aptitude.
• Outstanding PC skills.
• Detail oriented with organizational skills and strong communication.
• Ability to work without supervision with customer focus and multi-tasking.
• Team-oriented with commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and produce individual risk accounts with production/premium goals.
• Maintain client/broker contacts and relationships.
• Contribute to NA Reinsurance and Property facultative processes.
• Manage T&E expenditures with NA Facultative Reinsurance Head.
• Develop annual personal P&D plan with leadership.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new hires.
