Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
• Clear communication of technical concepts and ability to manage conflict constructively.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Engineering Co-Op supports the Engineering Team by creating and maintaining shop and fabrication drawings using CAD software. This role is designed for individuals eager to grow their technical skills and become a valuable contributor to the team.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drafting

• Learn to interpret architectural and structural drawings to extract relevant information.
• Continuously improve proficiency in CAD software.
• Integrate standard components into design drawings.
• Generate CAD drawings from sketches, blueprints, or digital files.
• Modify drawings based on verbal or written feedback.
  

Work Management

• Adhere to project schedules and meet key milestones.
• Follow project checklists to maintain consistency and quality throughout the workflow.
  
• Attend and actively participate in project status meetings.
• Provide assistance to the Engineering Team as directed.
  

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in project team meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Collaborate closely with assigned team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Develop and update CAD drawings based on project requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned work.
• Provide support to shop personnel during the manufacturing process.
• Follow established company procedures and standards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
