The University of Texas at El Paso’s College of Engineering seeks an experienced administrator to direct the Business Center’s day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and services for faculty and staff.

Under minimal supervision, you will supervise staff, manage grants accounting, purchasing, travel, and reconciliation, and develop streamlined processes to improve data integrity and reporting for department chairs and principal investigators.

Competenze

• Experience managing day-to-day operations of a business center or similar administrative unit.
• Familiarity with grants accounting, purchasing and travel processes.
• Ability to train staff and prepare financial and analytical reports.

• Directs day-to-day operations of the Business Center.
• Oversees complex financial transactions including accounting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing and records management.
• Supervises staff and provides training on grants accounting, purchasing and travel processes.
• Develops and implements business process management methods to improve data flows, controls and efficiency.
• Prepares monthly financial reports for department chairs and principal investigators.
