Job summary

Moxy South Beach is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations and support the engineering team at the hotel. You will help ensure the property is safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for guests.

The role requires hands-on leadership, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. A strong schedule and weekend availability are expected for this on-site position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations.
• Assign tasks and support team members for safe, efficient work.

• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, PTAC, and other systems.
• Respond to guest room work orders promptly.
• Ensure life safety and fire protection systems are functional.
• Ensure interior and exterior hotel maintenance standards.
• Support training and development while delivering guest service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance operations.
• Assign tasks, support team members, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Perform and oversee general repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting throughout the hotel.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, PTAC, and other building systems.
• Respond to guest room work orders and service requests promptly.
• Help maintain building safety, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• Ensure the hotel's interior and exterior are properly maintained.
• Support training and development while delivering excellent guest service.

Requirements

• Previous hotel maintenance experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drywall, PTAC units, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a TEAM, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to lift and move 50–100 pounds.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
