Job description

Role Overview

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Develop new and modify existing equipment in cross-discipline design teams (software, electrical, control, and mechanical engineers). Create documentation for your designs. Develop in C, C++, Bash, and Python on bare metal and under RHEL-compatible Linux distros in containers. Work with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams in the manufacturing and support of equipment. Our design team is challenged with projects to keep Micron competitive in the marketplace. Our designs frequently provide solutions that no one else has addressed. Work to improve existing designs, responding to manufacturing and production support. Daily opportunities to work hands‑on with electronics, computers, in‑house and third‑party designed equipment in a lab environment. May telecommute part‑time.

Qualifications
  1. C including low-level bit level manipulation.
  2. C++ and STL familiarity.
  3. Python.
  4. Comprehend schematics to provide design feedback.
  5. Analog and digital circuitry components (including power supplies), how they form a circuit and system, and how software interacts with analog and digital circuitry.
  6. Debug complex systems and lower‑level sub‑systems.
  7. CPU, computer architecture aspects, and operation of microcontrollers.
  8. PCB layout/construction to identify components, signals, and planes for debugging.
  9. Electronic lab equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, frequency counter, or SMU).
Benefits
