Micron Technology, Inc in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Engineer for SIG Equip Software Design. In this role, you'll develop and modify equipment as part of cross-discipline teams.
You will create necessary documentation and work with C, C++, Bash, and Python. This position involves close collaboration with various operational teams and provides the opportunity to troubleshoot and enhance existing equipment designs.
The role may allow for part-time telecommuting, emphasizing a balance of in-house and lab work.

Develop new and modify existing equipment in cross‑discipline design teams (software, electrical, control, and mechanical engineers). Create documentation for your designs. Develop in C, C++, Bash, and Python on bare metal and under RHEL‑compatible Linux distros in containers. Work with New Product Introduction, Field Service, and Operation teams in the manufacturing and support of equipment. Our design team is challenged with projects to keep Micron competitive in the marketplace. Our designs frequently provide solutions that no one else has addressed. We design what doesn’t exist yet. Work to improve existing designs, responding to manufacturing and production support. Daily opportunities to work hands‑on with electronics, computers, in‑house and third‑party designed equipment in a lab environment. May telecommute part‑time.
