Job summary

CyberCoders seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department overseeing HVAC, electrical infrastructure, and facility maintenance for a large-scale West Palm Beach campus.

The role requires hands-on leadership, risk management, and collaboration with facilities leadership to keep systems compliant, safe, and reliable for events and daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of building maintenance experience in a large facility.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance personnel.
  • Strong hands-on experience with commercial HVAC and electrical systems maintenance.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • EPA Certification for refrigerant handling required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with technical HVAC/electrical training.
  • Experience in convention centers, hotels, arenas, stadiums, or similar public-facing facilities is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, including electricians and HVAC technicians.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC and electrical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Manage building automation and Building Management Systems.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, contractor coordination, and vendor management.
  • Support event operations by ensuring facility systems and utilities are fully operational.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset management documentation.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Engineering Department with a strong focus on commercial HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, facility maintenance, safety, security, and event support operations. This position partners closely with facility leadership to ensure all building systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing hands‑on leadership in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of commercial HVAC and electrical systems within a large‑scale facility environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and preventative maintenance programs.
