Job summary

Johnson Outdoors Inc. is seeking a Quality support role to assist with new product and ongoing quality conformance activities, including data collection, documentation, and testing support.

You will back engineers in developing and documenting test plans, review quality records, MRB, and root-cause analysis, while collaborating with Engineering, QC, and Manufacturing to ensure production readiness and ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with new product and ongoing quality conformance activities, including data collection, documentation, and testing support.
  • Support engineers in the development, execution, and documentation of test plans under supervision.
  • Help review and maintain quality records, procedures, and inspection documentation.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities, including data gathering and basic analysis.
  • Assist with material review activities (MRB) by documenting findings and tracking corrective actions as assigned.
  • Support supplier quality and vendor-related activities, including audit preparation and issue tracking, as directed.
  • Compile and organize data for quality performance reports and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with environmental and sustainability initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality Control, and Manufacturing to support production readiness and quality objectives.
  • Perform other engineering or quality-related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

  • May require standing, walking, or light lifting in support of engineering or quality activities.
