Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Two years of GMP manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding, plastics processing, tooling, and assembly.
  • Hands-on injection molding setup and process development experience.
  • Knowledge of mold design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Experience with mold flow simulation reviews and design for manufacturability.
  • Understanding of polymer behaviors (ABS, PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon).
  • Familiarity with FDA/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and on-site troubleshooting; strong communication.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces.

Job Title: Engineer III – Injection Molding

Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $105,800.00 – $132,300.00

Schedule: Monday – Friday Day hours

Overview

A global leader in medical device manufacturing is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. In this high-impact role, you will directly influence the design, development, and production of next-generation medical devices while serving as the technical expert for complex, highly automated plastics manufacturing processes. You will lead the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of injection molding operations, driving improvements in product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and overall cost performance in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Two years of GMP manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong understanding of injection molding, plastics processing, tooling, and assembly.
  • Hands‑on injection molding set‑up and process development experience.
  • Knowledge of mold design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Experience with mold flow simulation reviews and design for manufacturability.
  • Deep understanding of polymer behaviors (ABS, PVC, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Nylon).
  • Familiarity with FDA/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent technical problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues onsite.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to support lab and manufacturing environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in tight spaces.
