Job summary

System One is hiring an Engineer III – Injection Molding in Lakewood, CO to influence design, development, and production of next‑generation medical devices. You will lead highly automated plastics processes, drive process improvements, and ensure cost performance in a state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 4+ years of experience, GMP exposure, and strong knowledge of molding, tooling, and regulatory requirements. Safety and quality are central to this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Two years of GMP manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding, plastics processing, tooling, and assembly.
• Hands-on injection molding setup and process development experience.
• Knowledge of mold design, construction, and maintenance.
• Experience with mold flow simulation reviews and design for manufacturability.
• Understanding of polymer behaviors (ABS, PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, nylon).
• Familiarity with FDA/regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and on-site troubleshooting; strong communication.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead projects and provide technical leadership for manufacturing initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and mold makers.
• Support safety, regulatory compliance, and KPI objectives.
