  2. Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design of cloud-native architectures, promoting AWS services (e.g., RDS, EMR, EC2, DMS) and hybrid strategies for on-premise-to-cloud migrations, including phased cutovers. Experience with migrating from Microsoft SQL Server to AWS is preferred.
  3. Strategic Consultation: Provide guidance on cloud architecture, data protection, scalability, and infrastructure needs, aligning with ALSAC’s objectives and collaborating with Data Governance frameworks.
  4. Data Optimization & Analytics: Build and optimize large datasets and pipelines to support analytics, data science, and performance metrics, focusing on quality engineering and root cause analysis.
  5. Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor Data Engineer I and II, sharing knowledge on data platforms, SOPs, and best practices.
  6. DevSecOps Implementation: Prototype and advise on automation, testing, quality assurance, compliance, and data protection for cloud, hybrid, and on-prem workloads.
  7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with data, design, product, leadership, and IT teams to resolve issues, align strategies, and improve data access for insights.
  8. Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks related to data strategy, privacy, and sustainability, ensuring compliance with AWS security services (e.g., IAM, CloudWatch, KMS).
  9. Innovation & Trends: Research emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovation, automation, and operational efficiency.
  10. Communication: Communicate the value of cloud tools and architectures to varied audiences, including senior leadership.
