Job summary

Moderna is seeking an Engineer II to enhance and lead manufacturing processes at its Norwood, MA facility. You will serve as a technical liaison for capital projects and GMP process equipment, focusing on reducing events and improving product quality and safety.

You will collaborate with MS&T, Facilities, Validation, and end users to drive projects through from design to qualification and ensure compliant, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Facilities, Engineering, or Operations.
• No Certifications or Training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering support for process equipment at Norwood, MA.
• Reduce events and batch excursions by ensuring equipment functionality.
• Own small to medium projects with timelines and manager support.
• Participate in design, procurement, installation, start-up, validation, and qualification.
• Respond to alarms, OOS and OOT; perform product impact assessments as needed.
• Troubleshoot failures; drive corrective and preventive actions.
