Job summary

Moderna is seeking an Engineer II for the Operations Science and Technology team in Norwood, MA. You will transfer processes from bench to pilot scale, generate DNA/RNA/LNP/DP materials for development, and support first-time filings and updates.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or minimal experience with a Master's, and is site-based with no remote work. You will lead technical projects, optimize processes, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related technical discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or minimal experience with a Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to technical projects related to DNA/RNA/LNP/DP processes, including tech transfer and process optimization.
• Serve as batch lead, assist in troubleshooting to ensure successful outcomes.
• Propose and implement solutions to technical challenges and deviations.
• Collaborate across Process Development, Analytical, and other teams to support tech transfer and robustness.
• Distill batch data to inform process improvements and decisions.
