Job summary
Invenergy LLC is seeking an Engineer, Interconnections and Grid Analysis in Chicago. You will perform technical analysis for interconnection processes, support transmission-related activities, and interpret market rules across PJM, NYISO, and ISONE.
The role emphasizes power flow studies, grid planning, regulatory coordination, and contributing to wind/solar interconnection projects from our Chicago office.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
- 0-2+ years of experience in transmission system planning, compliance and operations including complex power flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
- FERC, NERC standards related to transmission and interconnections - knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform power flow analysis and market related evaluations as part of generation and transmission development activities.
- Provide grid, transmission system planning and congestion evaluation for development activities (PJM, NYISO, ISONE).
- Review interconnection studies and plans to identify opportunities.
- Coordinate with regulatory teams on queue reforms and process changes.
