Job summary

ZaZa Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep a safe, well-maintained environment across the property.

You will perform routine upkeep in public areas and guest rooms, including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical work, and safety procedures, while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Strong communication in English and the ability to follow daily directions from engineering management are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with hotel fire alarm procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to use maintenance equipment and tools properly.
• Basic computer skills for daily forms and records.
• Excellent courtesy in guest interactions and communication in English.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public areas and guestrooms on an ongoing basis.
• Clean work areas after completing tasks.
• Receive daily work assignments from engineering management.
• Set up electrical exhibits as needed.
• Maintain electrical, HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

Summary: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment.Essential Functions:Have a thorough understanding of ZaZa fire alarm procedures and other safety procedures.Have a thorough understanding of ZaZa Hotel rules and regulations.Maintain all public areas and guestrooms on an on-going basis (corner guards, locks, windows, doors, furniture.)Keep the hotel decor in good condition.Clean all work areas after completing job.Fill out daily work form.Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.Maintain all electrical equipment throughout the property.Receive direction from engineering management on daily work assignments according to hotel needs.Set up electrical exhibits.Maintain all the refrigeration equipment in the building.Maintain all HVAC equipment in the building (guestrooms, public areas, function rooms)Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.Use courteous conduct with all guest encounters and complete maintenance requests to the total satisfaction for the guest.Tools and Equipment:Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, basic computer skillsWorking Environment:Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
