Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineer to join our San Francisco Electrical team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will perform electrical engineering and design activities, represent the firm, and interact with clients and project team members, emphasizing innovation and sustainability.

Core Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior engineers through design and construction processes.
  • Create electrical designs in a BIM environment.
  • Conduct analyses, review data, and prepare design options and cost estimates.
  • Assist in designing code-compliant electrical systems for various commercial facilities.
  • Review electrical design and development plans and project estimates.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures during design.
  • Propose innovative solutions to design challenges.
  • Coordinate project scope, design, and deadlines with project managers and team members.
  • Prepare Basis of Design (BOD) reports and technical reports.
  • Assist with calculations like voltage drop, short-circuit, and arc flash studies.
  • Edit specifications to match project requirements.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings; respond to RFIs.
  • May serve as a field engineer during construction.
  • Work with the lighting team on lighting and control systems design.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate across disciplines.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solutions-driven and team-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of contract and construction documents.
  • Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and other analysis software.
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license; PE license or pursuing it.
  • LEED accreditation.
Essential Requirements
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of local and state building codes (NEC, energy codes, etc.).
Salary Range

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA. The salary range is $85,000 - $120,000, depending on experience, skills, and location. Exact compensation varies.
