Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our growing team. This position will focus on the design and coordination of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for a variety of building types and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will hold an PE certification, demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable codes and standards, and be comfortable collaborating with other disciplines to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems including low and medium voltage power distribution, lighting layouts, and fire alarm systems
• Prepare construction documents, electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Perform lighting and power load calculations using industry-standard software
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors across multiple disciplines
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction phases
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify system installation and performance
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA)
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client communications as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of electrical design experience in the building or infrastructure sector
• PE certification required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with power analysis or lighting software is a plus (e.g., SKM, Visual)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with commercial, institutional, healthcare, or industrial projects
• Familiarity with sustainable design and energy-efficient systems
• Knowledge of photometric analysis and lighting controls
