Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 2 for Integrated Merchandising to design and implement scalable data integrations between our IM data platform and external vendor systems like Toolio.

You will build robust services, optimize data pipelines, and contribute to a secure, reliable data ecosystem that supports our merchandising planning workflows. You will work with Java, Python, and Kotlin, delivering RESTful and GraphQL APIs, data pipelines via Airflow and BigQuery, and messaging with Kafka

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful / GraphQL services.
• Experience building data pipelines and data-driven architectures, including Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ingress/egress data integrations with external systems such as Toolio.
• Develop robust, maintainable code and services for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Build high-performant APIs and microservices for vendor entities.
• Create reliable data pipelines on Airflow, BigQuery, and Kafka with security and scalability in mind.
