Job summary

Koʻa Kea Resort seeks a part-time Engineer I to maintain hotel facilities and deliver guest-ready service. You will perform basic repairs, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, clean, and comfortable environments for guests and associates at Poipu Beach.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of related repair experience, HVAC and pool certifications, and strong communication. CPR/First Aid preferred. Flexible schedule and energy conservation focus are valued.

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of related repair experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality settings.
  • CPR and First Aid training is preferred; HVAC and Pool certifications are required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, drywall repair, painting, and electrical work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hotel areas and common areas in good working order and safe conditions.
  • Schedule preventative maintenance and manage equipment upkeep.
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve issues in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Protect guest safety and security; observe safety procedures during tasks.

Our Engineer I demonstrates attributes of a great host by being aware and attentive to our guest’s safety needs; in addition, they create conversations and share a moment thereby making a real connection with our guests.
