Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group's Koʻa Kea Resort on Poipu Beach seeks a Kitchen - Steward to maintain a clean, hospitable kitchen and support the culinary team in daily operations. You will help with dishwashing, pot handling, and ensuring sanitary conditions while assisting the Chef with receiving and putting away supplies.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 pounds and managing cleaning chemicals. A professional, guest-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Good mathematical and computer skills.
• Ability to actively listen to others.
• Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to be a team player and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
• Respond to individual guest needs as they occur and greet guests warmly.
• Sweep and mop floors and keep kitchen area clean and safe.
• Wash pots and pans by hand and keep dishes sanitary.
• Handle chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing as required.
• Assist Chef in receiving and storing products.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve questions courteously and promptly.
• Maintain health and safety standards and assist with shift setup.
