Default (All-EOS Job Aggregator) is seeking an Engineer to support daily operations at Sun Outdoors Ocean City in Berlin, MD. This hands-on role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring guest-ready conditions. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and previous maintenance experience, particularly in hospitality settings. Key responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, are required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently.

Job description

The Engineer supports the daily operation and upkeep of the property by maintaining guest cottages, common areas, and resort equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure the resort remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
• Troubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systems
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptions
• Inspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures
• Assist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failures
• Work closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operations
• Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspections
• Support additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
• Full-time seasonal position located in Berlin, MD
